The key to developing and maintaining brand economic success is to design intellectual property strategy into the creative and innovation process from the beginning of any organization. Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan is fortunate to implement this strategy from the very start of its existence and to have such professional partners from the private sector as the management of "Brands of the Year Awards'. It is indeed an honor to register my comments for yet another marvelous year of "Brands of the Year Awards 2010", which has become the hallmark of recognition and to identify and promote brand excellence and create brand culture in Pakistan.
IPO, Pakistan feels pride in ownership of this partnership which has been declared as the best public private partnership of Pakistan. This relationship has now turned into multifaceted movement for branding and its role in economic development in Pakistan and I am overwhelmingly pleased to note that management of Brands of the Year Awards has been trusted with various strategic tasks and has been declared a not for profit public company licensed under section 42 of Companies Ordinance, by SECP, Pakistan. It is a great achievement which surpasses all previous endeavours and is bound to create great economic value for business and Brand Image of Pakistan.
Brands today are generally recognized as a key asset for creating value for a business. Any organization, be it for-profit, not-for-profit, small, medium or large, even a country or geographical region, can develop a brand image. At IPO, Pakistan we believe that brand development is not a privileged sphere reserved only for large, multinational enterprises with huge financial reserves. It is for everyone who has created some intellectual capital.
Our efforts are now concentrated towards helping business enterprises in developing branding capital by securing their intellectual property rights, by making them understand the importance of quality products and branding strategies at national and international level. We have no doubts in our mind that we will leave an unforgettable IP heritage for our future generations.
In the end I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations for the management of Brand Awards council of Pakistan for the successful execution of 4th Edition of "Brands of the Year Awards 2010". On behalf of IPO Pakistan, I reaffirm that our patronage to this gigantic activity of "Brands of the Year Awards" being the co-organizer and strategic partner for this innovative public private partnership will continue to strengthen in the years to come.
